Crow Nest Acceptable Use Policy
Effective date: October 6, 2026
Crow Nest lets anyone publish apps on addresses under crow-nest.com. If one bad site gets that domain flagged by browsers or email filters, it hurts every customer. These rules keep the Service safe. They're part of the Terms of Service. "Tool" and "Your Content" mean what they mean there.
Don't use Crow Nest to
Deceive or steal
- Run phishing, impersonation or "fake login" pages, including pages that imitate another brand's sign-in or payment screens, or collect passwords, payment details or identity information under false pretenses.
- Impersonate a person, company or Crow Nest itself, or mislead people about who runs a Tool.
- Run scams, fake stores, pyramid schemes, fake reviews, or deceptive "get rich quick" or investment offers.
Cause technical harm
- Host or distribute malware, spyware, ransomware, cryptominers, or executable installers (we block files like
.exe,.dmg,.apkand.msiin many accounts). - Attack, probe or overload other systems, run denial-of-service tools, scan for vulnerabilities without permission, or send spam or bulk unsolicited messages.
- Try to get around our limits, bot checks, access controls, or rate limits, or to access other people's Tools, data or accounts.
- Use Crow Nest to proxy or relay traffic to hide the origin of abuse, or as a general-purpose file host, bulk download site or video/streaming service.
Break the law or hurt people
- Publish anything illegal, or that promotes violence, terrorism, child sexual exploitation or abuse (we report this to authorities), human trafficking, or self-harm.
- Harass, threaten, dox or stalk anyone, or publish people's private information without consent.
- Publish hate speech, or sexually explicit content involving non-consenting people, or any sexual content involving minors.
- Infringe copyright, trademark, or other rights. See our Copyright and DMCA Policy.
- Sell or promote illegal goods or services, controlled substances, weapons, or gambling in places where that isn't allowed.
Mishandle data
- Collect people's personal information through a Tool without telling them what you collect and why, or in violation of privacy laws.
- Store payment card numbers, Social Security or other government ID numbers, protected health information, or student records in a Tool. The Service isn't built or certified for them.
- Use someone else's API keys or secrets without permission, or put secrets in public Tool files.
- Use AI features to generate content that breaks these rules, or in ways that break your AI provider's rules.
Responsibilities for what you publish
- You are responsible for your Tool, including code written by your AI assistant. Review it before you share it, especially before you make it public.
- If your Tool collects information from visitors, you must have a privacy notice that fits and follow the laws that apply to you.
- Keep contact details current so we can reach you about a problem.
How we enforce this
- Reports. Public Tools show a "Report" link, and anyone can write to hello@crow-nest.com. We review reports.
- Automatic suspension. A Tool reported by three different people within 24 hours may be suspended automatically until we review it. A suspended Tool shows an unavailable (HTTP 451) page.
- Automated checks. We may refuse to publish, or refuse to make a Tool public, if it looks like it breaks these rules (for example a password field on a page that uses a well-known brand's name).
- Our response. Depending on how serious or repeated it is, we may warn you, remove or disable content, suspend a Tool or your account, withhold refunds for the affected period, and tell affected people or authorities. We may act without warning when needed to protect people or the Service.
- Questions or appeals. Write to hello@crow-nest.com and explain. We'll look again, but decisions are in our discretion.
We may update this policy as new kinds of abuse show up. Rules about illegal content apply even if not listed here.
